I don’t normally repost photos, but I’m in a bit of a reflective mood…
Six months ago I received the (at the time rather devastating) news that the company who had taken me in as an undergraduate engineer, who had supported my development for the first four years of my career, no longer had the workload required for a third of the office, and that I didn’t have to come in to work the next day.
My best friend Pete (@peeejah) joined me that afternoon and together we sat on Bondi Beach watching the sun set, as I considered what to do with my life, the sun having already set on a period of my life.
A month later I was on a plane to London. A month after that I was working for one of the top structural engineering firms in the UK.
In the past six months I’ve met some amazing friends from across the globe, and I’ve had some of the most amazing experiences of my life.
Sometimes life kicks you in the butt.
Sometimes that’s just the kick you need. (at Bondi Beach Austraila)
